59 – Carol Ann – A Child of God or a Child of the Liar?

A Child of God or a Child of the Liar?
Have you ever felt a distance between you and God, a sense of disconnection from Father’s love? Satan is the father of all “parental alienation”. Just as my four youngest children were cut off from my voice, and manipulated into fully rejecting me, their loving father, many Christians are deceived into believing lies about their Heavenly Father.
John 8:44 tells us, Satan is “the father of lies" and he seeks to distort the image of God in our hearts, painting Him as uncaring, absent, or even cruel. "Daddy, do you love me?" Those were the words my seven-year-old daughter Chelsea asked me after being repeatedly told, "Your Daddy hasn’t paid any child support. Your Daddy doesn’t love you. Your Daddy has abandoned you." That assault on her little heart, became the breeding ground for doubt until she finally and fully rejected me as her father, and then even turned against me, like how many apostates do to God.
John 8:32, tells us the truth will set us free, and 1 Peter 1:5 says it is “through faith that we are shielded by God’s power”. I promised my oldest son Tyler many times that this wasn’t forever, and that we would one day be united again when God’s appointed time came. He never doubted me, and never believed the lies. He kept the faith, no matter how much pain and suffering his mother and siblings inflicted on him, over those long six years. Today, Tyler, is the only child out of five who has remained in my love (John 15:9).
Just as a child cut off from a parent misses out on blessings, so too do we when we believe the liar and distance ourselves from God. Don't be deceived. Recognize the parental alienation tactics of the enemy and choose to believe the truth and hold on in faith. Remain in God’s love, grounded in His word, and you will experience the freedom and blessings that are rightfully yours as His child.
