19 - Jared - A Falling Away Worse Than Darwinism is Coming

This message was made to Jared, a personal friend, on April 1, 2018, where I shared an urgent message about a coming crisis of faith, unlike anything seen before. I shared with him the prophetic impression I received of an impending event that will shake the faith of millions, possibly linked to a scientific discovery or alien revelation. Referencing historical examples of faith being tested, like the Darwinian revolution, I told him of the importance of a practical, enduring faith to withstand the coming storm. The message calls for Christians to hold firmly to their beliefs, emphasizing that the days ahead will require unwavering faith, humility, and patience.

Standing Firm When the Next Great Shaking Comes

Brethren, are you prepared for the perilous times ahead? Scripture warns us of coming trials that will shake the faith of many. Jesus Himself questioned in Luke 18:8, "But when the Son of Man returns, will he find faith on earth?" This isn't about predicting dates or sensationalizing end times, but about strengthening our foundational faith for the challenges to come. John 16:1 reminds us, "I have told you these things, so that you will not go astray." Jesus prepares us not to frighten us, but to equip us.

The world continually attempts to disprove God and discredit His Word. Recall the fallout after Darwin's theory of evolution was published. Charles Spurgeon witnessed "the deepest, blackest darkness" as people left the church in droves, their faith shattered by this "new information." We’ve rebounded from that, but greater tests are coming. Something is on the horizon that will “shake and ruin the faith of millions.” This unsettling revelation, confirmed by Scripture, urges us to prepare.

How do we fortify our faith? Colossians 1:21-23 exhorts us to "continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness… provided that you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel." Practical faith, a faith rooted in experience and a proven track record of God's faithfulness in our lives, is essential for navigating these turbulent times.

Remember the story of Nicomachus, who faced the stretching rack and within seconds, renounced his faith for a moment of comfort. He tragically illustrates the danger of prioritizing temporary relief over eternal life. Jesus calls us to be faithful, even unto death, to hold firmly to our faith so that no one will take what belongs to us (Revelation 2:10). He promises, “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life” (Revelation 2:7).

This preparation isn't about fear-mongering. I have never delivered a “Jesus is coming, it's time to get scared” message. Our focus shouldn't be on end times theatrics, but on cultivating deep, unshakeable faith. Our day of reckoning comes "the minute your heart stops beating," when we will give account to Jesus Christ for how we lived. This is the urgency. The coming trials are a call to examine the foundation of our faith. Will it endure? Will it stand firm when the world seems to fall apart? The only way we survive is through humility, faith, and patience. The humility to know we cannot keep ourselves, the faith to know He can, and the patience to wait until He does. He will see us through.
