The person you date or marry, the clothes you wear, the rings on your finger, the sunglasses on your face, the car you drive, the home you live in, the furnishings you own, the makeup you wear, the friends you have, the church you attend, the people you associate with. How much weight did you place on external appearances when you brought those things into your life? What might that be costing you in your relationship with God?
I don't think many of us as Christians realize how much we are being robbed because of focus on external appearance. The lust of the eyes is never fulfilled and it's such a subtle and yet powerful trap to fall into. This is a short series to expose the foolishness of judging people and things by their appearance.
